Planning the Perfect Babymoon in Kissimmee, Florida

If you’re following me on Instagram, then you probably know the hubby and I just got back from an awesome two-part babymoon. We planned this vacation long before we found out we were pregnant and decided to make some small modifications to itinerary so I could get plenty of rest. We spent a few days in Kissimmee, Florida before heading out on a cruise from Port Canaveral.

Where to Stay- Reunion Resort

Reunion Resort is a dream come true for any mama-to-be! I can’t recommend this resort enough for expecting mamas, couples, or families. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa located in The Grande (the resort’s main building) but the resort has a variety of accommodations available including gorgeous homes and villas.

Our villa had everything we needed for our stay. It was convenient having a full-size kitchen, and I’d love that we could wash and dry out swimsuits in the washer and dryer. I even washed a load of laundry on our last day. The villa was incredibly spacious and the pull-out sofa provides extra sleeping accommodations if you’re traveling with children. Our villa also featured a beautiful balcony, dining room, and bathroom with a huge soaking tub.

The amount of fun activities at Reunion Resort is endless. A gorgeous golf course wraps around the resort and the resort is filled with multiple community pools. The resort is so big that they have shuttles that provide pick ups and drop offs to the area you’d like to visit. One of my favorite attractions was the waterpark.

What to Do- Enjoy the waterpark

Cooling off under the waterfall

I know waterparks are typically a no-no for expectant moms but hear me out! The waterpark at Reunion features a fun waterslide (that I’ll take advantage of on my next visit), a lazy river, kids splash zone, swing-up bar, volleyball nets, and a large pool. Plus, there are plenty of cabanas around the pool for mamas that need some shade. The lazy river is incredibly relaxing and perfect for cooling off.

Sound like a lot? Don’t worry, there’s a map of the waterpark that you can review near the front of the park.

Lounge and Swim at the rooftop pool

If you’d prefer an even more relaxing scene then head up to the rooftop lounge and pool on the 11th floor in the Grande. The pool is gorgeous, quiet, and the views are incredible. You can also order food from Eleven which serves appetizers and cocktails on the rooftop. There are multiple restaurants onsite and you can even choose to enjoy meals within your villa. Pamper yourself at the Spa at Reunion

Who doesn’t love a relaxing spa treatment? One of the highlights of my stay was my prenatal massage at the Spa & Salon at Reunion. The facilities are quaint, beautiful, and have a calming Southern charm. My 50-minute prenatal massage was fantastic and I loved that my therapist was so gentle. I highly recommend indulging yourself with the Farmhouse Fresh products that the spa offers. Their light and smell amazing.

The Location

The resort’s location can’t be beat! You’re super close to tons of attractions and great restaurants in Kissimmee. There’s a Publix about 5 minutes away from the resort if you need to stock up on groceries, and we even picked up pizza from a nearby pizza shop. Disney Springs is about 15-20 minutes away and we headed there for a fun date night.

Disney Springs

Since our stay was short, we didn’t make plans to visit Disney World. I honestly don’t think I would’ve had enough energy to walk around the park, but we wanted to enjoy dinner at Disney Springs. Disney Springs is a massive shopping, dining, and entertainment complex located in Kissimmee. There’s something there for the whole family!

There are tons of fantastic restaurants to choose from. We had an incredible meal at Jaleo by Chef Jose’ Andres. If you’re into tapas-style dining then this restaurant needs to be on on your list! I highly recommend sitting outside on the patio and don’t leave without ordering the Croquetas de pollo. They’re out of this world!

Cruising Around Town

Having a comfortable vehicle definitely makes a trip more fun. I thoroughly enjoyed driving this 2019 Mazda CX-5 during my trip. Have you driven it? The trunk space is huge, it’s super fun to drive, and has a ton of cool features. One of my favorites is the active driving display within the windshield. That’s right! You can view your speed just by looking the windshield! The blind spot monitoring was incredibly helpful when driving on the highway or preparing to switch lanes in the city. My only negative is that I couldn’t keep it! I seriously cannot wait to drive this car again and I’m so happy Mazda provided me with an awesome car and experience.

I had so much fun during my stay in Kissimmee and I can’t wait to go back! My trip was relaxing yet so much fun. The hubby and I are already thinking about returning with Baby Mason next year.
