Where to Stay in Venice Beach, California: The Kinney
During my weekend girls trip to Los Angeles we decided to take a different approach to booking hotels. Instead of booking one hotel for the trip's entirety, we reserved a different hotel each night. This allowed us to explore multiple areas within LA. For the last night of our trip, I selected The Kinney in Venice Beach.
Pricing
The Kinney is the perfect hotel to choose for a Venice Beach visit. I made my reservation on Hotel Tonight five days before arrival and paid $220 after taxes and fees. That's an outstanding deal for any hotel located in the LA area.
Location...Get Your Pencils Ready!
The hotel is only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute UBER ride away from Venice Beach. Plus, the hotel is a quick 15 minute drive from LAX. The walk from the beach isn't bad at all, and can be done in 15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Abbott Kinney Blvd is also a short walk from the hotel.
My blogging gals and I had an early Monday morning flight and were at the airport in no time. We had no problems catching UBER rides to and from the hotel. The hotel also has valet parking available if needed.
Our Room
I was extremely impressed with the room's space and decor. This is seriously the cutest hotel room I've ever stayed in. From the cool artwork, to the fun retro phone, no detail was overlooked.
Since I was sharing my hotel room, I loved that the room's sink was outside of the bathroom. There was also a mirror outside of the closet which helped us save time when getting ready. If you need to get some work done, there's also plenty of work space.
The Cool Courtyard
Seriously, The Kinney is home to the cutest courtyard in hotel history! Ok, I know I've overused the word cute in this blog post, but I can't help it!
The hotel also has a swimming pool and hot tub.
After dinner, we hung out in the courtyard while sipping on some wine. If you're looking for a liquor store, there's one right next to the hotel. Can you say convenient? There are so many things that I love about The Kinney, but the picture below is at the top of my list.
This amazing wanderlust sign! If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I love #WanderlustWednesday. I yelled out in excitement when I saw this sign. If you're a travel addict like me, this sign should convince you to book this hotel.
Free Continental Breakfast
The perks don't stop with the courtyard and wanderlust sign. The Kinney also offers free continental breakfast. Before heading out for our flight, we grabbed a quick bite. Bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, and sausage are available on the buffet. I didn't have time to make a waffle, but a nifty waffle maker is available.
Final Thoughts
I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. The room was fantastic, the service was great, and the hotel accommodated my request for an early check in at 12 p.m. Score!
*Money Saving Tip! I booked this hotel on Hotel Tonight. Use code: BBEINGSHASHA for $25 off your stay. (This post is not sponsored by Hotel Tonight or Hotel Kinney)
