The Best Affordable Seafood Restaurant in Boston

Earlier this month, I flew into Boston to celebrate my college graduation. Attending my graduation was my main mission. However, I had a secondary mission in mind that was equally as important. It was a very simple mission, and one that I knew I would regret if I didn't complete it. At this point you're probably thinking that I should just get to the point and explain what the mission was.

Eat Seafood. Seriously, there was no way that I could travel all the way up to Boston and not eat seafood. Prior to my trip, I had done tons of research to learn what some of the best seafood spots in the city were. There were lots of options and the amount of seafood restaurants available was overwhelming. However, there was one restaurant that stood out from the masses. After perusing their menu, reviews, and pricing I had set my heart on Yankee Lobster Co. This place is so legit that even Guy Fieri did an episode on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives showcasing them.

My crew and I hopped in our car and took the 20 something minute ride from our hotel to Yankee's on a Friday Night. Yankee Lobster has a very small interior, and you have to wait for a table to open up before you can go inside. We only ended up waiting about 15 minutes for a table. Once inside, you go up to the counter, place your order, and the staff brings it out to you. I really loved how Yankee Seafood had a mom and pops feel.

My husband ordered the Lobster Roll, and I ordered a Combo Two of Shrimp and Scallops. My friends opted for the Fish Platter and another Combo of Calamari, and Fish.

Look at that Calamari!

Lobster Roll

I'm at a point where I feel like I should go ahead and pump the brakes on this review. The only thing you need to know is that I ATE THE BEST SEAFOOD OF MY LIFE AT YANKEE LOBSTER COMPANY. Hands down, I have never had seafood this good anywhere else. My food tasted like it came straight out the ocean, (probably because it did) and was the freshest seafood I've had in my life. My friends share the exact same sentiments as me, so I won't go into detail about our individual meals because everything was wonderful. Seriously, if you visit Boston make it a priority to visit this restaurant.

I loved everything about Yankee Lobster Company from the food, service, and atmosphere. I actually ended up buying one of their t-shirts because the experience was so phenomenal. I'm already trying to plan a trip back to Boston, so I can eat at this restaurant again. If you wanna know more about Yankee Lobster check out their menu here.
