So, the hubster and I did a really big thing. We packed up our car and took our first family road trip to San Antonio, Texas. Although we’ve visited San Antonio before, this trip was different. On past trips, I’ve only had the opportunity to see San Antonio through the River Walk. However, on this trip we explored so much of the area. I love a great staycation! Long gone are the days, where a weekend getaway consists of packing up the car, driving for hours, or hopping on a flight. I’ve been wanting to do a staycation for the longest, and I’m so happy that I was able to do one right in Frisco. Have you ever experienced a staycation in Frisco, Texas? I totally get why Tony Bennett wrote this song about San Francisco, and I’m convinced that I left a piece of my heart there! I had the best time exploring the city and I’m counting down the months and days until I can visit again. I didn’t have time to explore everything during my trip, but here are some highlights of fun things you can do for a weekend visit.

There’s no shortage of hotels when it comes to finding a place to stay in New York. Navigating the hotel scene in New York can be overwhelming. I was really excited to stay at the Bowery 50 Hotel during my last visit.

I’ve knocked another state off my travel list…Wisconsin! If Milwaukee isn’t on your list of U.S. cities to visit then you should totally add it! I had the time of my life exploring the city, overindulging in dairy, wearing a cheesehead, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

I decided to end my recent New York trip with a quick stopover in Washington, DC. Instead of staying nearby the National Mall, I opted to stay in Chinatown. Pod DC proved to be the perfect place for my stay.
