Aquarium Adventures! Audubon Aquarium of the Americas New Orleans, LA
/As a child, I have fond memories of going to aquariums. Even in my adult life, I still find sea life fascinating and awe-inspiring. While visiting New Orleans, my husband and I were looking for something fun to do that would allow us to escape the harsh heat and humidity. After spending a few days outside exploring the French Quarter we were ready to adventure indoors.

We decided to visit the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas as it was a short walking distance from our hotel in the French Quarter. The Aquarium is located across the street from Harrah's Casino on Canal Street. You can also access it by walking down the Riverwalk.
Although, this aquarium isn't as large as aquariums in Baltimore or Atlanta, we were still impressed with its size and variety of exhibits. We spent about two hours in the aquarium and would've stayed longer if we didn't have a flight to catch.
If you're looking for a family friendly activity or something different to do then this aquarium is a great choice.
Disclosure. I received two complimentary tickets to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. All opinions expressed are my own.
