"Teach me how to Duggie"-Dugg Burger Plano, TX
/I write this review with an incredibly guilty conscience. For the past 4 days I've been on a mission to bring sexy back. I will be going on vacation in less than 14 days and have embarked on a 10 day cleanse.Unfortunately, I gave into my foodie desires at a media dinner for the opening of Dugg Burger's new Plano location. Shame on me right? I did take a super long run afterwards in an effort to justify my bad behavior.
I have no regrets about cheating on my cleanse with Dugg Burger. (I pray that my Advocare rep, isn't reading this review.) My decision to dive into Dugg Burger was rewarded with a choice of unlimited burger toppings and a plethora of tasty seasoned french fries. Oddly enough, I've been singing Cali Swag District's Teach me how to Dougie ever since I've left the restaurant. Dugg Burger should totally make that its theme song.
Dugg Burger is not your average burger joint. The name stems from the fact that your bun is actually "dugged out" and filled with your choice of toppings. After placing your order, your burger is grilled while you choose your toppings. I really like how Dugg Burger doesn't nickel and dime you for extra toppings like many burger restaurants. I proudly stuffed my bun with sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, and bacon.
I was really impressed with my burger. I am a stickler for sweet hamburger buns and my bun did not disappoint. I was a little scared that I might have gone overboard on the toppings but they really complimented the burger. The only bad thing I have to say about Dugg Burger is that its too close to my house. My struggle between fitness and food just got even harder.
If you're a lover of Milkshakes Dugg Burger has you covered. I tasted a sample of the Vanilla Shake and it was fantastic! All of their shakes are made with Henry's Ice Cream. If your not into shakes Dugg Burger also had a variety of cold brews to keep you hydrated.
The restaurant also has tons of seating. If you're anything like me, I don't like eating in close quarters. They even have a nice outdoor patio that's perfect for summer nights.
There's one more star on the menu that may surprise you. Do yourself a favor and try the bread pudding. Ok, I know your probably thinking that eating bread pudding at a burger spot sounds very random. However, this bread pudding was EPIC. Historically, I've never been a big fan of it, but this one made me a believer. It was warm, moist, and melt in your mouth delicious. Don't be scared to give it a try during your visit.
