The Best Boutique Hotel in Downtown Phoenix

I can proudly announce, that I have experienced the greatness that Kimpton Hotels has to offer! I had previously heard great things about this contemporary boutique hotel chain, but had never stayed at one of their properties. When I realized that there was a Kimpton located right within Downtown Phoenix, I jumped on the opportunity to stay there. 

Kimpton has a loyal client following and I can understand why. My stay at Hotel Kimpton Palomar Phoenix was outstanding. Check out the following hotel highlights below:

Early Check-In

Relaxing Spaces

I tend to arrive to my destinations early, as I prefer to take early morning flights. I was a little concerned that the hotel wouldn't be able to accommodate an early check in. However, my room was ready well before noon so I had plenty of time to get settled in before exploring.

Location

Hello Phoenix

The location of this hotel is incredible. It's located right within the Downtown Cityscape and you can almost walk anywhere. The hotel is also across the street from the Talking Stick Arena which is home to the Phoenix Suns and hosts many concerts. If you're coming into town for an event at the arena this is the perfect place to stay.

Rooftop Views

The hotel is also within walking distance to Chase Field, numerous restaurants, and shops. I even walked to my favorite pizzeria in Phoenix, Pizzeria Bianco. For more information on where to eat in Phoenix go here. Keep in mind that all the restaurants listed are conveniently located near the hotel. 

If walking or taking an Uber isn't your thing, then take a ride on one of the complimentary bicycles that the hotel has available. They are so cute and convenient!

Lustre Rooftop Pool Bar

Drinks Please!

I'm a sucker for a gorgeous rooftop bar. However, this hotel took the meaning of rooftop to the next level by throwing a gorgeous pool, cabana area, and mountain views into the mix. The service at Lustre Bar was great and the waitstaff was extremely attentive. 

Lovely Seating

There are also plenty of comfortable chairs located not only next to the pool but throughout the entire cabana area. Lustre also hosts a variety of cool events during the week and is open to the public. 

Accommodations

My King Corner Suite at this hotel was fantastic. It was incredible to wake up to city views.

From a creative standpoint, the room and views were inspiring. It was an awesome space for me to work on some important content.

The Bathroom a.k.a. the Showstopper

All you need to know is that the tub in my bathroom looked like this. After a long day of exploring the city it was wonderful to soak in this tub. I also need to mention that the full-size bath products at Kimpton are fantastic. The body wash is out of this world. I wish I had it at home!

One of my favorite things about the Kimpton brand are the unique touches. I was pleasantly surprised to see this sign in the bathroom.

Personal Touches

That's right y'all! I've you've forgot it, they've got it! Not only was I shocked by the amount of items listed but I think its awesome that they will go get the item for you if they don't have it. However, they took personal service to a higher level. Upon returning to my room I was welcomed with this!

I was blown away by the personal touches at this hotel. The hand-written note was so sweet and I couldn't believe that they remembered that I came from Texas. I love laying out by the pool so the sunscreen was another nice compliment.  The hotel definitely lives up to its name as a perk-filled boutique hotel. Special thanks to Victoria at the front desk for the special treats. 

Evening Wine Hour

Did someone say free wine? I love a smooth, sweet, red so I made the wine hour a priority. It was really nice to kick back, mingle, and enjoy this relaxing time at the hotel. There were also appetizers available. The short rib flatbread was so delicious that I ate it before taking a photo. Sorry!

Kimpton Hotels is definitely on my list as one of my favorite boutique chains. The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix lived up to its name as a perk-filled boutique hotel. Are you ready to stay at Kimpton?
