The Perfect Fall Date Day in Plano, TX
/So, the hubster and I did something really, really big. We left Skyy with her auntie and had an amazing date day in Plano. It may not seem like a big deal, but this was our first date day since we became parents.
Grab Brunch at Main Street Bistro & Bakery
We started our date day, by grabbing brunch at Main Street Bistro Bakery and Cafe. This bistro is located at the Shops at Legacy and is so cute! During our date day, I shared it in my Instagram stories and was so surprised when many of you commented and to say that the restaurant was one of your faves. Both of our meals were delicious and it was so nice to enjoy a delicious meal while sitting outside.
Take a Romantic Stroll or Hike at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
The Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is one of my favorite outdoor gems in Plano. I’ve visited the park before for hikes with friends, but this was the first time that the hubster and I were able to enjoy it together.
The preserve is incredibly beautiful, scenic, and a great option for a date day. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget to take a picture on the bridge!
Eat Lunch at Prim & Proper Inside of Neighborhood Goods
Did you know there’s a “secret” restaurant inside of Neighborhood Goods? Ok, maybe it’s not a secret, but Prim & Proper is a great choice for lunch at Legacy West.
The indoor dining area is adorable and there are chairs and tables outdoors if you prefer to eat outside. The Waygu beef burger is a popular choice along with the classic chicken sandwich.
Shop and Grab Some Gelato at Amorino at Legacy West
If you’ve scrolled through my Instagram page, then you’ll see that I love Legacy West. It’s literally one of my favorite places in Plano. Legacy West has a plethora of great shops and restaurants and is a great option for a date day. Don’t leave without grabbing a “rose” gelato cone from Amorino USA! They’re beautiful and delicious.
Since I visit Legacy West regularly, many of of you have asked me for my suggestions on my fave restaurants. We decided to explore some new options during our date day but below are 5 of my favorites:
Tommy Bahama (The Pina Colada is insanely delicious!)
North Italia (definitely order the arancini and calamari)
Earl’s Kitchen & Bar (tons of great appetizers to choose from)
Fogo de Chao (if you’re into Brazilian steakhouses then this place is for you!)
Root’s Chicken Shak (Inside Legacy Food Hall, the Big Bird is out of this world!)
Explore Downtown Plano
Have you ever visited Downtown Plano? If not you’re missing out because it’s the cutest! Downtown Plano has so many adorable locally owned shops and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to dine at Urban Crust if you’re in the mood for pizza (plus their rooftop is amazing) and 1418 Coffee House to grab a yummy latte.
Enjoy a Taste of Thailand at Samui Thai Bistro
The hubster and I love thai cuisine, so we decided to grab dinner at Samui Thai. The food and service is amazing, plus they have a nice, quaint, patio.
Our date day flew by and we had so much fun exploring Plano. We opted to have a pretty chill, relaxing day, but below are some additional activities we’ll consider on our next date day.
Bowling and Games at PINSTACK
Getting some “Air Time” at Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park
Southfork Ranch Trail Rides (reservation required)
Couples Massage at Woodhouse Day Spa
Thanks so much for reading all about our date day and I hope you found these suggestions helpful. Have you ever had a date day in Plano? If so, drop some of your favorite things to do below!
